Yes, being but a few miles North of your location, we to have felt the oppressive 100 F degree heat + humidity. We did get some brief relief, however the heat is forecast to return next week. After all it is August ... I seem to recall, not long ago, someone complaining about the bitter cold? Seems some people are never satisfied?
Dennis, just watching the dancing causes me to be 'out of breath' so no, I don't think I will be dancing like that soon ...

Keeping in mind that the dimensions are 650 x 150 pixels.
If you look in your user cp at the top and click on edit signature it will give you the exact dimensions.

The sig should be in PNG, specially when it is not a square one, to support transparency . Just download the PNG, and upload it as it is . The SF will automatically convert it as a GIF .
It may be contradictory , but the native format is PNG, which shows as GIF . The attached shot will express this.
If you upload any format other than PNG, it will loss its transparency, as it is happened for Jihad .

I can put together a rough draft, but I have no clue what to use as a background?

What we do in Google is called Machine translation. What is that? Its nothing but it translates to few language fonts in Unicode. Phrases, verbs, language tics are fed before by the providers or by the users. (thats why Google ask to contribute for better translation).
Unfortunately, we cant translate many languages, because of lack of direct meaning of the words, inclusion of new words (So called "College languages"), single word may have multiple meaning just by putting an exclamation mark "!".
It does translate European languages well ; partially due to the inherited similarity with Old English and partially due to huge input from the users.
Tips: Its better to use the machine translation for word by word. Use simple and common sentences. "I Love You" will probably never been translated badly ; but if you put "You, the person in this world, is my all, is my love". There is chance of bad translation.
Cons: As said not all languages can be translated. It lacks the "human touch", may be rough.
Pros: Machine will do (=program) as they are programmed. They will never mis-present for their own benefit!
Professional translation:
Done by human. They have big stock of word, phrases, proverbs etc.
Pros: Human professional touch.
Cons: Very costly, not easily available and sometimes may mal-present the actual schema.
More: Microsoft has also a translation kit, but its not that popular like Google translation. For my and Arc's mother tongue Bengali ( Bengali is one of the most spoken languages (ranking sixth) in the world. [Ref: Wiki] ). But, there is no direct machine translation available. In practical purpose, English is enough for us to communicate, but, who will not love to see his own language fonts, for some moment?
There is a way for the Indian languages that cant be translated to English by machine. Type as you speak them it will appear as your language. Its called transliteration. I am giving link of Microsoft's tool for Bengali: Microsoft Indic Language Input Tool: Bengali ; one can find other Indian languages too there.

Pros: Machine will do (=program) as they are programmed. They will never mis-present for their own benefit!

Done by human. They have big stock of word, phrases, proverbs etc.

More: Microsoft has also a translation kit, but its not that popular like Google translation. For my and Arc's mother tongue Bengali ( Bengali is one of the most spoken languages (ranking sixth) in the world. [Ref: Wiki] ). But, there is no direct machine translation available. In practical purpose, English is enough for us to communicate, but, who will not love to see his own language fonts, for some moment?
There is a way for the Indian languages that cant be translated to English by machine. Type as you speak them it will appear as your language. Its called transliteration. Soz Josef pal I dunno the difference between a treble clef and a bass clef --- actually I haven't got a clue what a clef is

I think this way is simpler....
1. Make a shape.
2. Right click the layer, select 'Rasterize layer'
3. Set the 'Fill' of the layer to "0".
4. In the blending options, do stroke, having the size border you want. Click OK.
5. Now, make a new layer, and select the new layer and the border layer (Using Ctrl + Click), then right click and 'Merge layers'.
If this isn't simpler, I guess it is the way we learn how to use the program. Some of my friends who own Photoshop always use different techniques to get the same result, and I guess it is the same way here.

Made a new sig. Think I'll attempt a border and glass button look next. I'll have to challenge myself with Ms Pub and paint.net. I only have Photoshop on my work machine and I'm on vacation.

Thanks Arc! I appreciate the help. I'm trying to show a preview of a sig I'm making but I can't get the attachments to drop down (paperclip). I suspect it's this whack TMobile usb broadband thats giving me problems.

I think (maybe I am wrong ) seven pro is the minimum stage which is allowed to insert a message in the sig , and that is why the box is not working for you .
I have no info about it, but it is said from my past experience .
