Hello everyone.
For a couple of days ago my internet worked all fine, fast & clean.
But for 2 days ago i noticed there was something wrong.. My downloads took me meaby x10 longer than before..!
Well, i have tried to fix this problem by several tryes "Plug everything out of my modern, restart pc, plug all my cabels out of my modern & wait a day b4 turning it on again" But none worked.
So i decided to look who was connected to my router for some strange reason .. AND THEN! I saw a pc named "KASPERSONNE-PC" Was connected.. WTF?
My modern is password protected and well... Yeah its a hard password nothing you just can guess you to.
Im on a BILLION BiPac 5200G R5 - Wireless G ADSL Router.
I have allready contacted Billion with a support form, but well i guess i get faster answer here lolz.
BTW, i also tested my internet speed today but not sure if my speed is fast or slow ..
Heres some pictures :
And another problem is i dont got any "Wireless Icon" to connect to my wireless router to test if its only local cable that make this problem if you know how to get the "Wireless Icon" To show please post here aswell(:

Do you have your wireless connection password protected, not just your modem !
I had a power failure a few months back and when it came back on had to reset my router, which blew out the security settings. When I checked my network afterward there was some clown named BeerCanBilly-PC loose on the wireless end.
Also, protocol are you using for password encryption..WEP, WPA, WPA2????
@DocBrown Yes both my wireless and modern is password protected.
@Proflp i didnt really see what that should help me out :P ?

Ehm i havent encrypted my password lol, just a couple hard words on danish and some numbers :P
Actually, I was just trying to reinforce what the Doc said.
Lolz great to know :P
It's not hard to get through a password without proper encryption. Just ask my high school LOL. I'd say encrypt it as WPA or WPA2. You can also set some routers to make your network invisible to anyone that doesn't know the current name the network.
Aha o.o How can i do this then ?
Let me find the manual on your router so I can give specific instructions.
Thank you so much(:
The manual for your router is horrible IMO.
According the manual you need to open the web page for configuring the router. You can do this by typing 192.168.1.254 in to any web browser's address bar, provided you haven't changed it yourself. Look for SSID settings (not sure where to find them as the manual does not explain it clearly). From there you need to change the name of your network (SSID) as this a-hole knows the current name. You should see an option called "Broadcast SSID". According to the manual, you need to select Yes to hide the networks name so that the guy (or anyone) will not be able to see it by just looking for available networks. Then you should be able to see something called" Authentication Type". The manual recommends 128-bit WEP. You can do that or WPA2-PSK. The other 2 options are not as secure.
If you have any trouble, let us know.

Use 192.168.1.1 ... and dont use WEP... its way to easy to crack... use WPA2 for maximum protection..
Start Cmd ipconfig
look for the address of your default gateway
look for the address of your default gateway
My standard gateway or any of the 2 other ips is not working ... WTF s;

Sounds like Kasper doesn't want you to lock him out to me. You should be able to find a red button on your router. Press it to restore all default settings. Then you can change them as needed, including the ones I listed above. Especially the ones I listed above.

Did you do what docbrown suggested?
If you have an web adress to set your router you should have a restore button...
Weird...
Yes but didnt work either.../;
See...
Is that your router?
Is that your router?
Look on the back or the bottom, some of them are hidden away there. It might be something as tiny as a pinhole, like what you would use to open a DVD drive.
Yeah i was too retarded to see this little hole.. But how am i then supposed to set it up after restore? i mean set a password, and connect to the router on my sisters pc.
Edit : joined the user's manual...
It may not have a reset button, but there should be a small hole that you need to insert a small pin/paperclip in and press to reset the router...
I wont reset it b4 tommorow guys, i go in bed now got a bad day (:
Cya everyone.

Okay so now i got the router reseted.. But, just a little problem.
I cant get to the configure place on the web for my router.
I tried multiple "IP's, My Standard gateway" but it just end say theres no such a site.
I would like to get a fast answer, theres no password protect on my internet, its public, got a really strange name.. And well, slowly like hell.. >:/
+++EDIT+++
Until now i been trying to connect with different codes from :
192.168.1.1 To 192.168.1.40
Contact who ever you got the router from.
Lol it was a gift and im not on contact with that guy anymore xD
when you get access to the admin mode of your modem, i highly suggest you change the admin name and password. you can download lists of standard admin/password combinations from the net which make unsafe to leave them unchanged.
