Okay I have a samsung laptop RV411.
So i closed the cover, and then opened it for transfer. However, I did not shut it down. So when I opened it, it turned black and it turned BSOD. It says KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR. So I restarted my PC. Now, I cant get out of the POST. There is 2 available options F2 for setup and F4 for recovery. I pressed both and it went Please Wait... Forever! I used the recovery disk no luck. need help!

Hi Tabatot, welcome to sevenforums. Try inserting your installation DVD and carrying out a "repair install"
Repair Install
this will preserve all your user settings. Let us know how you get on...Good Luck!

I cannot get on the DVD. When I insert my recovery disk nothing happens.
You should use your installation disk not your recovery disk for this. I would recommend following the instructions in the tutorial mentioned in my earlier post if you are unsure of how to carry this out.
I tried to insert my Recovery Disk. Nothing happened.
Insert the recovery disk, reboot, then keep tapping F12 right from the boot till you see the one time boot menu. On that list select the CD drive. You should now be able to boot from the recovery disk.
BTW, did samsung provide this recovery disk or you made it yourself?

Samsung provided it.

You need to keep tapping F12 repeatedly right from the start, its a bit tricky. Dont stop till you see the boot menu.
If it still doesnt work, tap F2 repeatedly to get into the bios and change the boot priority so the CD drive is first. Press F10 to save the changes and exit.

OK, keep tapping F8 repeatedly at boot till you see the advanced boot menu. Select "Repair my computer", navigate to the command prompt.
Type chkdsk c: /R then hit Enter.
Let the chkdsk complete, reboot.
Type chkdsk c: /R then hit Enter.
Let the chkdsk complete, reboot.
Even if you get it to boot from the DVD drive, you still need a proper 32 /64 bit installation disc to carry out a "repair install". You will need to obtain one of those before proceeding. OEM's recovery disk cannot be used for repair install
F8 still doesnt do anything.
Need help.
OK, lets try different approaches.
1) It could be a boot sector virus. Try the kaspersky rescue cd.
Download FREE Bootable Rescue CDs from Kaspersky, BitDefender, Avira, F-Secure and Others - Tweaking with Vishal
The only issue is whether the computer will be able to boot from the cd.
2) Possible RAM error. Try swapping out the RAM sticks- that is change their respective slots or take out all but one stick, then try reboot.
3) Possible bad hard drive. I dont know what brand hard drive you have but you can download the specific diagnostic and run it.
HD Diagnostic
Edit: See if you can boot from a bootable usb stick (or a linux live cd). Heres how to make one (method 2):
USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create
If you can, navigate to the folder c:\windows\minidump and copy any .dmp files in it, upload them here.

I just cant move.
Well, if you've tried out all the things I suggested and its still no go, then there are 2 more things I can think of:
1) Take out the hard drive from the laptop. Now try to boot from the cd rom using any bootable disk available. If that doesnt work, try with an external dvd drive.
2) Hook up the hard drive to another computer, then run chkdsk and drive diagnostics to determine whether its good.

One more thing the OP could try:
1) Remove Power cable.
2) Remove Battery.
3) Than hold down Power button for 30 Sec's
4) Refit all.
Ray.
Sure, Ray. I'm mystified why the OP's not able to boot from dvd etc.
From what I have read in the OP's posts, Notebook is not getting past BIOS post.
tabatot, please try tapping the Esc key at boot, maybe that'll show up the boot menu.
It just shows black screen.
Have you tried the suggestions in posts no. 17 and 18?
how no one replys to my threads?
Does the recovery disk is bootable?
Yes, the recovery disk should be bootable.
Another thing you can try is removing the optical drive, then reboot.

It seems to boot in the recovery disk. Now what?
Thats good news. Just follow the onscreen prompts till the recovery is complete.
But hey, you need to tell us more instead of replying in one liners. What exactly did you do that enabled the computer to boot from that disk while earlier this was not working?

I just removed my HDD. But now, it cant repair because there is no HDD available lol.
SSD / HDD : Optimize for Windows Reinstallation
If i Diskpart clean all my HDD. Will all the FILES in my HDD will be lost?
Yes.
Its says I have to clean all. But I dont wanna clean my other HDD. how to?
Clean All doesnt mean Clean all disks. It just wipes the disk you selected using the select disk command. And for heaven's sake read that tutorial properly and make sure you dont end up wiping the working drive on the other computer.
Okay thanks ill post what will happen later.
Please read my suggestion earlier...if you boot from an INSTALLATION DVD instead of a RECOVERY DVD you can attempt a "repair install" which should not trash your settings or files
Okay UPDATE.
I tried to plugin the HDD of my laptop to my PC. Then it said, there is something wrong error booting the HDD. etc. So I booted it up with My bootable Win7 Disc, However. Its stuck on the Windows 7 LOADING LOGO. However, If I use the HDD of my PC it will boot up normally. Help?

Do I need to connect it ? But I only have 1 connector.
One option is to get hold of a usb case and cable for the drive. Before that, try installing windows from a usb flash drive.
USB Windows 7 Installation Key Drive - Create
And what dvd is this? Not the recovery disk I hope.

Its the recovery disk that samsung provided. Why?
Oh, OK. My bad. I thought you were trying to clean install windows. Carry on.
Can I boot a CD from a bad hard drive? Cause it wont load up.
I dont know what that means. You either boot from the CD or the hard drive. if the hard drive is bad and you boot from the CD, you can reinstall windows and set it right.
I did that but its only at the Windows Loading LOGO. Note: I booted up the CD.
BUMP.
BUMP.
Tabatot, please print out the instructions in thsi tutorial:-
Repair Install
Put a copy of Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit Installation DVD into your DVD/CD drive(Important:- This does NOT work with a Samsung recovery disk) If you do not have a copy of the installation disk you will need to either get on or borrow one.
Then switch on but as you do keep tapping "f2", this will allow you to access your BIOS settings. When the screen comes on select the tab that allows you to choose the boot order and set the first boot device to "DVD/CD" and then select "f10" to save your settings. Reboot and this should then boot your system from the installation dvd.
Once it has come to the selection screen, follow exactly the repair install instructions you printed earlier. Then please let us know how you got on with it.
