Every build (for the last 2-4 builds) has had some sort of visible change, whether it's changed icons, or the new wallpaper found in build 7232. What's new in 7264?
Bugfixes...its a RC build..
I noticed change in Photo Viewer, they changed the background colour from that horibble light yellow to normal transparent (or white)..
Now, it look good.

i was using 7260 RTM and the only diference is the RC keys not working anymore...
I am having a hard time seeing a reason to upgrade to 7264 unless there are some definite improvements. I would rather not worry about activation time limits and extending, etc.
My 7229 is activated and is good to go until full release.

That's 1 reason i have yet to install 7264. 7260 works fine for me but i'll soon succumb to the bug LOL

My question would be is 7260 & 7264 actual RTM versions? How to tell?
I have noticed a problem in this build. I am running x86. So here's what I noticed:
When running the command prompt, it opens up immediately. However, when I right click and run as admin, the UAC comes up (this is normal), and then I click YES. Once I click yes, the entire screen goes blank, and comes back up after 10-15 seconds with the command prompt in admin mode.
On previous builds, this was instantaneous. The admin prompt would show up right away.

what i would like to know if there is finally the option for each folder custom view...
if anyone with 7064 can check it, open a folder and maximize it, close it then open a different folder, does the folder opens in maximized size as well?

New feature included in 7264: automatically knows what kinda fetishes you have and downloads vids/pics/erotica along side security updates.

well it should.
that was in xp and vista, i don't see the reason that every windows i open need to be exactly the same as the previous and the next window.
what MS is doing? why are they ignoring this issue???

on 64 bit, the admin prompt comes up instantly. Also, I hate UAC, so I always turn it off. That always made me hafta to the registry hack to use desktop gadgets. But in this build, you can use desktop gadgets without UAC by default. Good move MS
the self elevation bug is still there and morro detect it and ask for clean, it should delete it asap but it don't, also changing UAC level doesn't need a restart
their are not trying to fix that error and thats pretty scary since this is almost a RTM

only problem i have is the same as in 7232 64bit ...my url addresses all of a sudden get deleted from drop down menu in ie8 . also my usernames and passwords on all sites disappear. is that and ie8 issue or windows 7 ?.....
overclocking has not been a problem. quad core 2.83 > 3.5 temps also down .

7100 is my main daily "stable/setup OS", the others build are just for fun Has any body tried PunkBuster? Not working I take it. Also I tried to install Kaspersky 09 and I got this message for the first time in 7

Admittedly I've only just finished installing 7264 but I don't seem to have that problem
I came from beta to RC through about 5 builds since and I use Firefox and never seen it
As for 7264 it's too early for me to say but it doesn't "feel" any different to 7232and my RAM and temps are much the same.
No complaints though, John

Any chance they have fixed the lack of Cascade?
Not Cascading OPEN windows but the instances of Closed windows from a task bar grouping. It is SOOOOO much slower the way they've gone about it now.

...anyone who can work on a app fix............ would be very special. I'm thinking the ability to left click on a taskbar grouping, hold and swiftly drag up towards desk space also same with finger for touchscreens.
Even without that added at least left click then cascade like the other wins.

In 7264 as well as 7260 as 7229 which were leaked, we have a new kernel Optimization. PTO or Parallel Throughput Optimization.
