Can you be a little more specific perhaps? As maybe link us to where it says this?

Guest

Latest MSDN flash:

MSDN Flash - Volume 13, Number 15: July 20, 2009

Guest

Am I the only one who can not see that???

Win7exp

dont see anything there about that

Poker Face

i guess he is sign up for MSDN Flash Newsletter and received an email from Microsoft.Anyone in here who have signed up please check your email lol

Win7exp

I checked that issue, nothing there!

sjaak327

There is indeed nothing about Windows 7, I receive MSDN flash newsletter, and after the one I linked a few posts back, I have not received another.

False alarm, if not, surely the OP can post the relevant part of the flash newsletter.

Maybe its because I was out last night drinking but at 07.40 Iceland time A.M Tue 21 Jul I can't see any reference to the W7 release.

Cheers

Even a screeny of what the OP sees would be nice.....but...FAIL non-the-less without atleast that

sjaak327

I never said it was, I just posted the latest MSDN flash, the OP claims it says that Win7 has RTM'ed, and indeed no word about that. So either there is another issue a day after this one, or it's an honest mistake..

I ment in no refrence to your post. Was mearly stating a copy/paste of what he sees or a screeny or some sort of proof of such. In my opinion this thread needs to be closed as well as other new ones that end up showng up untill its OFFICAL. Too much blah all over our beautifull Forums

+1 agreed

Win7exp

+2 agreed!

ipkonfig

I too would agree with the above posts. The OP inspite of being logged in the forum, isn't responding in any manner .. Someone in charge please lock this thread ..

Actually, he's not logged in anymore...although I find it somewhat strange to post such big news and then leave the thread to another thread and log out a couple of minutes later. You'd think you'd want to be here to provide more info.

chuckr

Hell,

And I haven't even finished my first glass of wine....

Maybe there's a European version, 8 hours before the Americas ?

Gotta go XP and check email....

Sorry guys no more details in this mail :-(

Why does it say in that screenshot "Windows 7 has been released to manufacturing" ?

Looks like the OP had a point...

Orbital Shark

All it says is 'Windows 7 has been released to manufacturing...'

News like that IMO would not be a 1 liner

Sorry....but that blog entry is 7 days old now and plenty has changed in that time....as I have stated elsewhere....Brandon LeBlanc was very quick to deny the 7600 leaked on 13th July was in fact RTM....yet we have another build leaked a few days later and to date.....no Official Denial...or Confirmation...Hmmmmmmmmmm....

As handy as the first 2 links may be

They are linked to our SevenForums home page LOL

You need to fix the links

sjaak327

The content of that email was posted earlier, no mention of 7 RTM.

thenext8seconds

I call photoshop. Unless he can forward us those exact emails if we give him our email addresses.

We need more info from you

Undying

Its really amazing how a single post by a somewhat unreliable OP (who has been minus rep'ed) spawns 30+ posts for something I think we all know isnt true. I think we have too much time on our hands waiting for the next verifiable leak.

Ken

ssaeth

Is no problem for me to forward this mail to you.

This mail cames today from microsoft ... maybe its just a typo? Nobody else have a MSDN Flash newsletter subscription?

And not,- thats NOT photoshop

Undying

strange this i what i got in my mailbox

Strange. Your newsletter looks really diffrent. I try to write to the Editor from the Newsletter.

Undying

He sent me the e-mail:
-mail1.png
-mail2.png

NO word about RTM?

Guest

Look for the one-liner: "Windows 7 has been released to manufacturing... "

In the meantime I think its a typo from the newsletter guys. (copy'n'paste mistake)

7echno7im

Ummm... that is that transcript that never was announced at WPC09, word for word....

The first image clearly shows 'Windows 7 has been released to manufacturing...'

But i'll say again...

News like this would not be just a 1 liner, there would be PAGES of it

7echno7im

Did they also say they were a president of some country in that email? And that they needed to wire you some money?

That was the transcript from the WPC 09 that was never announced....
Allison Watson, Bill Veghte, Stephen Elop: Worldwide Partner Conference 2009, Day 1 Keynote Speeches

EDIT

they updated the notes now to fix the RTM announcement error:

Charles Kane

This is the latest US edition of MSDN Flash (Undying appears to be from the UK so may have their version of the newsletter)
Its dated July 20 - NO REF TO RTM

The UK Edition is dated July 1 and looks nothing like the one posted (maybe they havn't uploaded the latest ??)

Without evidence to the contrary, and in view of the already noted brevity of the notice , and the rather strange one-liner (with the stops after the notice) I call this out as a hoax.

Without such evidence I think undying should rep me and then leave us alone!

7echno7im

That's funny because mine says

Dakana

Methinks the OP is pulling our legs. :|

Crypto

I say its a manually Edited pic of the mail, and seems like this is the mail that most guys have got.

Yea, agreed to Orbital and Kane.
Hoax Indeed (until proven)

There is a huge LINE SPACE DIFFERENCE, TOO CLOSE. Sometimes this happens when you edit

Let's not jump to conclusions. I do think that it's a hoax that the OP has concocted, he has no control over the e-mail content sent from MSDN Flash (2 pics now show the 1 liner). I see the validity in what he's posted, but think that it's an error

It was a reaction on this:

"does this mean the untouched iso has upped on msdn ??? "

I do know that it will probably take a while for it to appear on Technet or MSDN.

Tripacer99

OP is trolling the hell out of all of you.

xendrome

Just checked MSDN, the E-mail and the MSDN Flash Site - This does not exist.

Plus MS wouldn't do an announcement of that level on MSDN anyway. Please close this thread..

Jammer

I seriously don't understand what pleasure people get from "leaking" fake builds, providing bull**** information and so on. I mean all that proves is that you're full of crap. I don't get it.

akramh

I hate false positives, lol. I looked at the subject of this thread, and thought finally we have RTM.... not....

Undying

I just copy'n'paste content from offical Microsoft MSDN Newsletter. (same Text).

Blame the Editor (Name is on the screenshoot) and not me!

You got the point. Seems to be an error from the (Newsletter)-Editor.

andych

Apparently this e-mail has gone out to others as well.
I have asked in an Australian forum to have a copy of the same e-mail forwarded to me....once I have it...(later on today) I will post a screenie of it....and if anyone wants to check the validity (for tampering etc) just PM me and I can arrange for it to be forwarded.

ricky

Update:
When will you get Windows 7 RTM? - Windows 7 Team Blog - The Windows Blog

andych

I now have a copy of the same e-mail and as faras I can tell it doesn't look to have been tampered with. Screenie below.
All I have done is to remove the email addy of the guy who forwarded it to me.
Just a little more info to add to the list I guess.

HotCarl

Wow, is it possible then that one of the various editors let one slip? Crazy is all I can say if the e-mail is legit. HmmmmMMMMmm, very interesting...

masterB

Can you go to the link below the statement?

looks like he did by the color of the link.

All signs are pointing to a finished RTM. Hope we can get an untouch iso soon.

wguimb

I think you all will all be surprised when you find out Windows 7 was signed off on last week. The O'Neil guy let it out before the official announcement. Microsoft and certain partners knew it was declared as final last Saturday. You can't keep something like this under wraps, but they did a pretty good job IMHO. Many of you are already running the final bits now.

Edit: It was assembled on July 13th, tested the 14th to the 18th, signed off on Saturday July 18th.

Yep...the link took me to a page of blurb from Jim O'Neil...but nothing there about RTM.
All it has done is confirmed the OP wasn't posting BS or Trolling...the e-mail is legit...as far as I can tell anyway...
Doesn't really matter...all will be revealed soon and then on 6th Aug (7th here in Aus I guess) some of us will be able to have fully activated (legally and morally) versions of Windows 7 Final.
