Bsod error 0x000000116 part 1

zaza

I'm having problems with BSOD error 0x000000116. I'm using NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT. I've updated the latest driver but it still didn't work. At one tme I used the older 181.71 driver and still didn't work..I've tried uninstalling it and let windows update fix it, it only worked once and it lasted for a few hours then BSOD started again..
Don't know what else to do...

PLS Help (if possibble with detailed intsruction just to make sure that i'm doing it right)
I've attached the perfmon file.

Thank you

There is no crash dump file in the one you just posted. Please make sure you have set system to create minidump file. Also, if you are using programs like CCleaner, it will clean out the minidump file.
Quote:

Windows 7:
Go to Start and type in "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes) and press Enter
Click on the Advanced tab
Click on the Startup and Recovery Settings button
Ensure that "Automatically restart" is unchecked
Under the Write Debugging Information header select "Small memory dump (64 kB)" in the dropdown box
Ensure that the Small Dump Directory is listed as "%systemroot%\Minidump" (without the quotes)
Click OK twice to exit the dialogs, then reboot for the changes to take effect.

Based on what you've described, it's probably video card issue with stop code 116, please read this article for more information (including what to try):

Thank you for your help, it did give me some clue on what wrong with my pc..
After i've created the minidump file..somehow eventhough my motherboard is not compatible with windows 7, everything went working. It worked like throughout the day, but then it happened again. Its like something triggerd to happened..Is it possible that my dixv player may be the trigger?
And even if my motherboard is not compatible with windows 7...is there any ways to make it compatible?

Thank you

Tews

If you are using a motherboard that is known to have compatibility problems with Windows 7, you are asking for trouble.. The best bet is to replace the board...
