I spent several hours looking through these custom wallpaper threads. First I want to say - wow. There are some very talented folks making wallpapers here; I was really impressed with the work I saw, even the pieces that weren't my style.
Second, I'd like to request a wallpaper. I like very minimalist wallpapers, and right now I'm a huge fan of the dark carbon fiber background. I also like the idea of small icons set into the lower corner of the wallpaper as opposed to a large, centered icon. So I'd be looking for a wallpaper with the carbon pattern seen in this post, but with an AMD Phenom II icon or badge set in the lower left corner, fairly small, set high enough to be over the taskbar. My screen resolution is 1600x900. Many thanks to anyone who could put that together!

I am not familiar with Zakwerks 3D, I use the DAZ-3D array of apps (mostly Studio posing/rendering - for example: http://www.sevenforums.com/attachmen...ift-shoppe.jpg) recently dabbling in Carrara - here is a quickie... I'm not entirely happy with the results but it is essentially what I was trying to accomplish.

Looks really cool beman, just a thought but maybe try dropping the size of the "text" slightly it's a bit overpowering and distracts a tad from the focal point which should be the overall image itself ... but I like it

The blurred background takes something away from your great wall. Maybe a dark carbon steel background with the highlights around the center piece.

very nice ARC love the pattern and concept! but IMHO you should darken the windows logo and lettering to stand in the front a little more as I can hardly see them.... but thats just MY opinion, other than that its wonderful!

The Spiderman Pattern is the one I use in meshes.
You use them by creating a layer then use FX or blending options and it will be in the Pattern Overlay , remember to flatten the image or you cant edit the pattern

well when I looked online, they came out with 2 versions! 1 with 1366x768 and the 1920x1080...also some laptops can do the 1080p maybe not yours, but doesnt mean others cant

Your's (red dotted line) is falling in the wrong direction, same goes for the text in the bottom right of your image, hope this helps a bit for future designs

Not sure if I can request here but a new wall would be great at the moment. I tend to change it around a lot as I get bored of even the best wallpapers, pretty easily.

I lucked out in two ways with this setup. First of all, when my uncle built the system, he set it up with 2 DVI ports, no VGA.....and second, I got the primary monitor, a 20" widescreen, from my boss for $45....he'd only used it a couple of times, and now uses his big TV as a monitor.
I didn't know at first what I would do with two, but I've figured it out along the way....my music programs automatically boot up on the secondary monitor, for example. If I am doing file transfers, my progress window and Explorer windows will be on the 2nd screen.
I can even watch video on one screen and browse through my various forums on the other.
So the cursor just travels willy-nilly between the screens?

As much as I love Aero Peek, I haven't needed it nearly as much since I got the second monitor, because I can actually see at least some of my other stuff on the other full screen.

ok but what I am trying to show you is that cutting and pasting is not working, I can still see the "cutting" job and it isn't merging in with your wallpaper....I am not making your wallpapers to show off or say I'm better than you, what I am trying to do is show you the "proper" way of photo editing...I have learned from Arc and poohman and take thier advice and tricks and try to use them and utalize them! as example I made a slightly diff variation of your wall...see how it all flows together? yiou cannot see that I have copy and pasted the win logo but rather use layering and other tricks to make it all flow together

Maybe you can tell me how to get a circular crop in Paint.Net? In Photofiltre I can put in the numbers so it comes out exact. But if I save to a file then it has a white area for the remainder of the rectangle.

So now for a test....the first image, I captured with the snip tool, and then did save as capture.jpeg. The second, I did shift+printscreen, and then in Irfanview I did ctrl-v to paste the image, then did save as Clipboard01. Loaded them both here with the attachment tool. Of course, the one I captured with the snip tool, although slightly downsized, is a much bigger file and higher-res image when you blow it up....very interesting!
OK, back to bed for this sleepyhead. Interesting. My first is snip saved as a png, second is shift prntscrn, opened in paint.net and saved as png.
Both got downsized, oh well.

damn man, I'm trying to make a glass wallpaper so it looks like an Oled glass see through screen but it's not turning out! it still looks to white and washed out even tho on my screen it looks pretty well like its see through...look at what I mean
Beman pal you saved it as a png file the transparency is picking up the black of the preview window so the white is looking grey. Try saving it as a jpg file so the white won't be transparent

right click the desktop/Personalization/window color/Advanced appearance settings, you'll see the adjustment.
