You have got to follow this tutorial before you can apply custom themes. Just follow the instructions that the user posted.

Dom...i did the whole patching thing correctly....tried to apply that Signature Edition theme that was on here and nothing. Maybe i should try others. When i got to step 8 in the tutorial...i was a lil confused. Did it mean place the theme into that windows/resources/themes folder? I had already did that earlier but i did it again. Nothing. Ill keep messin with it.

i clicked the update.rar...it downloaded to my downloads section on my computer. I unrared it with WinRAR. It was a small 8kb file. I dragged that to windows/resources/themes. Maybe i did something wrong right there. But i didnt see any 2 files. What do they look like?

Used the Signature edition a few months ago. Great work by Paul . But is was huge enough . Any theme cannot be 8kb .... there must be a problem.

Try to download it again .

Copy the Red bordered link to your address bar, and hit enter. It will tahe you to the rapidshare download link.

You need to copy and paste all the contents of the update folder into your resources folder, not just the .theme file.

Yea Anthony....the Signature Series link that u posted...is the one im trying to do.

BUT...just now...i coped both instead of dragging it into the themes folder....then went to my personalization...an clicked....an it worked. BUT.....it looked weird....i didnt see that gold thing in my start menu. No gadgets. An the background was just all black...with that Windows 7 gold logo wayyyyyyy in the bottom right corner. Its suppose to be centered. Some is wrong lol.

I downloaded the correct Signature Edition Theme Pack that someone posted that i missed. Theres a Rcoketdock gold bar in there. How do i get that onto my desktop like he has in the photos an put my icons in the gold bar????

Also...that them makes all my text even in IE8 it makes it unseen grayish kinda. Can i change my texts everywhere to white? Let me know this 1st an then ill ask additional questions...thanks.

There is a simple program, using that "even my mom can create" these prototype programs. No depth of knowledge of coding, programing etc required.

But, this guy has worked more. I asked one person to test it. He opined this guy has worked with written scripts. One can guess that from the vast spectrum of his softwares. Thats why his program requires manual copy pasting of the program folders: he yet to master it (that will require more theoretical knowledge, I guess).

Thanks derek. Yea that one. I want the symbol GOLD instead of those 4 colors. I seen one with the symbol GOLD..but it wasnt on that exact wallpaper. I like this one. Hope thats possible to do without tampering with the rest of the wallpaper.

Looks really cool pal, just one thing ... you might want to reconsider the size of your spotlights, if they were really that big you would have melted by now
