So now for a test....the first image, I captured with the snip tool, and then did save as capture.jpeg. The second, I did shift+printscreen, and then in Irfanview I did ctrl-v to paste the image, then did save as Clipboard01. Loaded them both here with the attachment tool. Of course, the one I captured with the snip tool, although slightly downsized, is a much bigger file and higher-res image when you blow it up....very interesting!
OK, back to bed for this sleepyhead. Interesting. My first is snip saved as a png, second is shift prntscrn, opened in paint.net and saved as png.
Both got downsized, oh well.

damn man, I'm trying to make a glass wallpaper so it looks like an Oled glass see through screen but it's not turning out! it still looks to white and washed out even tho on my screen it looks pretty well like its see through...look at what I mean
Beman pal you saved it as a png file the transparency is picking up the black of the preview window so the white is looking grey. Try saving it as a jpg file so the white won't be transparent

right click the desktop/Personalization/window color/Advanced appearance settings, you'll see the adjustment.
