Really enjoyed the Potter/Satriani version that you put up TV. Although it sounds like a diifferent song almost. Here's Neil

The "Blue Jeans and Moonbeams" album was derided at the time as an attempt at commercial success. I don't care. The Captain doing soul ballads is fine with me. Great voice
This guy is getting a lot of hype in the UK right now. I really like this and if you look around there's a few dance remixes by other people.
The Peter Green stuff is lovely Bill
Yes, thanks. While I like the Stevie Nicks Fleetwood Mac, it's 2 way different bands. A Guy
Hey A Guy, did someone mention the gorgeous Stevie Nicks..??

the Mick Fleetwood/John McVie combo is a real tough powerhouse rhythm section..
they'd be fabulous in any band - really tight together - Mick's a brilliant drummer..
the way he chops up this track up is just amazing - rate him alongside Ginger Baker (for different reasons, though..!!)
this is a fine example of Ginger's rock drumming
he really clatters along throughout this track, beautiful sharp, crisp playing..
- which brings me to the ultimate rock drumming loon
- Keith Moon ( - a magician on the skins..!!) - he could really crash and bash..!!
- with Entwistle providing rock-solid bass, the Who were a massive crunching beast of a band..

Keith was the master rock drummer..!!
- just listen to the raw power he puts out on this masterful track..!!
- he starts it at maximum speed and his cymbal is the last note - perfection..
- saw 'em at Bournemouth Pavilion when they'd just completed Tommy..
- Keith was so fired up, he was like an express train..
- man that was a helluva gig..
max volume for this one, folks!!
- sheer genius..!!
know what you mean about Bonno, though..!!
fantastic timing on this track..
brilliant percussion on this track..
- outrageously Tull..
but then again - everything Tull is outrageous..!!
In my eyes, Bonham and Moon are tied as far as powerhouse rock drummers.....Neil Peart is equally great, but more of a precision and finesse player. He uses all of his huge drum kits, whereas Moon or Bonham would have just smashed up what they weren't using.
i guessed I might be skating on thin ice, noob..
I shall always continue to search for bright meaningful music..
hey..!!

F'ing Great Man......
You want horns man......you got THE horns !
- Hendrix certainly opened up the song..
- still rate the original Bob Dylan version (on the John Wesley Harding album) as the best version, tho'
- in fact that whole album is a real masterpiece - he's still got that folksy edge, but it rocks like crazy..
- can see why Jimi attached himself to it so rapidly (his cover came out pretty soon after Bob's)..
- Dylan totally loved it - he cited it as being Jimi's song on many occasions - guess he was proud..
- can't find the original on YouTube, but if you get a chance, give it a close listen - it really chugs..
- Dylan's guitar and harmonica playing is totally outta-site, he really flies..
- The Wicked Messenger is also on the album - another fine track..
BTW: A Guy - The Days Of Future Past was among the first albums I ever bought - used to buy mostly
singles in those days.. had all the Beatles, lotsa Elvis, among other stuff..
also John Mayall's Bluesbreakers
- ft. a very young Eric Clapton on Lead, together with John McVie on Bass (later in Fleetwood Mac) and Hughie Flint on Drums (-who also went on to greater things..)
- that was fine blues/R 'n B sound in those "pop-filled" days
- you really had to scour the racks to find the good stuff..
- incidentally - 1967..
- some far out solo playing from Peter on this..
John Mayall came down from his tree-house in the Midlands to educate the world
on the power of the Blues - he wound up living in Laurel Canyon with all the superstars
- only fitting that such a genius should fetch up there, on the West Coast - good times..!!
69 was a damn good year for music..
some truly original stuff came out that year..
John Mayall Rules !
Used to hang out in my friends van and drink Boones Farm wine and listen to John Mayall and Johnny Winter !

given that the last DEAD clip was from ten more than eleven years ago
on 11/1/11 and by coincidence
- let's go with The Eleven..
- more fine drumming from the two drummers
- ya see the DEAD had these two crazy wild drummers...
- but that's another story..
