What's My Line? part 1

Tews

Simple. I give you the first line of the Beatles "Saw Her Standing There" you give the next. Got it? Good. Now please explain to me what the heck I'm doing. Oh ya, here go's:

Well she was just 17

And I ask for the integrity of this most important question that could solve the mystery of life itself, no cheating. Your answer must come from memory only (no not the memory of your computer)

Pusspa

You know what I mean..

Pusspa

and before too long

Title She was just seventeen

SHE WAS JUST SEVENTEEN
1-2-3-4
Well, she was just seventeen, and you know what I mean, and the way she looked, was WAY beyond compare. No I couldn't dance with another (Oh!) Since I saw her Standn' there.
Well she looked at me, and I, I could see that before too long I'd fall In love with her, She wouldn't dance with another (oh!) When I saw her standn' there.
Well, my Heart went boom as I crossed that room and held her hand in Mine!
Oh we danced through the night and we held each other tight and before too long, I fell in love with her. Now I'll never dance with another, (Oh!) Since I saw her Standin' there.
Well, my Heart went boom as I crossed that room and held her hand in Mine!
Oh we danced through the night and we held each other tight and before too long, I fell in love with her. Now I'll never dance with another, (Oh!) Since I saw her Standin' there. Oh since I saw her standin' there. Yeah!

Ken, I've asked the judges and they say that Tews is correct, only the original will do. But since you're such a nice guy and so helpful, I'm going to send you my second best aluminum hat. It dosen't have the directional finder my best one does but it does have this really cool picture of Mr. Peanut on the side. Oh, you don't have to thank me, or hurt me for that matter. Thanks for the "Good Idea"!

Edit: all of our

Guest

Ooooooooh and it makes me wonder

Guest

Ok come on Thorsen and Tews I can see your out there ( here's a little hint, the next line is exactly the same)

geeve420

Is there anybody out there? Sorry, different song.

SledgeDG

LOL, "Just nod if you can hear me".....?!

Thorsen

Are we mixing "Is there anybody out there" and "comfortably numb" now? Just pick one either one is fine (I'm probably more of a fan of PF than of the beatles or LZ

-DG

@geeve420: The line before your's goes "Is there anybody in there"

Is there anyone (at) home (the "AT" you only really hear in Roger Water's Solo Album

SledgeDG

-DG

OK. We'll let you decide SledgeDG!

Thorsen

is there anyone at all

lol sorry for dropping the ball on Stariway... I went to lunch

Thorsen

LOL, already done...let's stick with Comfortably Numb and I promise I stop being a nitpicker

Come on , now

geeve420

I hear your ... feeling.. ... down

SledgeDG

I can ease the pain....

Yeah I know, that is why i LOL'd it . I admit I jumped to the last page and didn't see what song we were doing . To be honest I still don't know

Guest

It is Comfortably Numb by Pink Floyd... great song in my book

And get you on your feet again

Thorsen

Relax

I need a little information first

SledgeDG

Just the basic facts - can you show me where it hurts

SledgeDG

There is no pain you are receding

SledgeDG

A distant ship (something) on the horizon

Thorsen

You are coming through in waves

SledgeDG

Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying

Thorsen

When I was a child I had a fever.

My hands felt just like two balloons.

Guest

Now I've got that feeling once again
I can't explain you would not understand this is not how I am

Guest

I have become Comfortably NUMB!

Guest

OK Just a little pin prick

Thorsen

Just beware you might feel a little sick?

^^^ not sure on this one. I know it has to do with feeling sick though....

SledgeDG

Close enough Thorsen

There'll be no more ah
But you may feel a little sick

Thorsen

(i thought we finish this one ofter the first verse ?? esp. since it doesn't seem to attract new "customers"
but annyways...until it's official here comes the next line)

Can you stand up?
I do believe it's working good.

SledgeDG

That will keep you going through the show

Come on its time to go.

There is no pain you are receding

Thorsen

A distant ship smoke on the horizon -You are only coming through in waves
Your lips move but I can't hear what you're saying...

Thorsen

When I was a child I caught a fleeting glimpse

SledgeDG

Out of the corner of my eye

Thorsen

I turned to look but it was gone,
I cannot put my finger on it now,
The child is grown -The dream is gone.

SledgeDG

and I have become Comfortably NUMB!

Love that song. I hope I didn't miss another line in there.

Do I start the next song then?

Guest

Nah...you're good
Go ahead start a new one.that's why I left the last line to you

Thorsen

hmmm. might have to think for a minute. I don't know a lot of lyrics that well. Floyd is one of my fav's so I knew that and Stairway. I will try and pick a good one maybe more people will join in as well.... maybe

Thorsen

People are strange when your a stranger

Faces look ugly when your alone

SledgeDG

You're right, Thorsen...PF might be "too far out" let's try Jim Morrison and Friends

Women seem wicked if you're unwanted

OEM

Streets are on even'a when your down...

SledgeDG

When you're strange..Faces come out of the rain

OEM

When Your Strange, ...no one remembers your name...
